I loved AoE II. Apparently in a few weeks a new AoE, Age of Empires Online, is coming out. It's free and the graphics are cartoony. I'm not sure what to think. Any other AoE fans?

I loved the AoE games when I was younger. AoE II was my favorite, even though I played a lot of AoM. Never got to II, though. I know Westwood Studios was dissolved after they made Halo Wars, so I'm guessing this is not made by them.

That was AoE III I believe. The original two AoE games came out in the late 90s.

One of the things I liked the most about AoE games was how much historical information they put into the game for those interested in reading it. As a 10-year-old kid, a lot of what I knew about ancient and medieval history came from these games.
