Hey everyone  I'm hoping I can get some advice on where to put my path character, campsite and the villager houses.

The purple line across the river is roughly where a bridge is going to go, and the purple dot is where the roost will be. None of these villagers are staying. :)

Thanks so much! x

The image is also broken for me. Well, I'll ask some questions which I hope will make future advice more useful.

What plans do you have for your town?
Are your secondary characters' houses going to be residential homes that will compliment your town's theme? Will they be facilities like a school, game arcade, restaurant, etc.? What kind of area do you want your campsite to be surrounded by? A pine forest? A grove by the beach? A meadow filled with flowers?

Top Right Corner? it will make a cute little shopping center with the retail? or bottom left to make an outside plaza by the beach for people to drink their coffee at

Should be fixed now. Yep they will be themed houses! Like bakeries, hotels etc. Haven't settled on exact interiors, but the town's going to be foresty. I'd like the campsite to be somewhat hidden and a bit out of the way ? Thank you for these questions! Made me think a bit~ :D

Hi there, which thing were you referring to sorry? The campsite/alt house/villager house? ^.^

For the campsite I would go top left next to the town hall, but not like right beside, a little off to the side, for your alt I would say in a line next to you as much as possible and for your villagers I would say along the wall on the right in a line unless you want them scattered more.

Thank you! So you don't think it would look strange with the villagers going vertically? And would the campsite in the top left leave enough room for the bridge?

I've seen vertical streets before and they don't look odd. :) I've seen towns where they had their own little yards, it was cute.

It looks like there's more than enough room for your bridge, campsite, and a grove of pine trees behind the camp area to conceal the train tracks, but if you're unsure, you can lay some paths down in the area to check exactly how much space you have.

As for your alternate characters' houses, since you mentioned they'll be eateries, perhaps place them around the caf??

Nah, my second town I plan to have some going vertical. I've seen several towns with them all in a vertical line. And I think there should be plenty of room looking at the map. It's all up to you cause you can actually go in and assess how much room you have.
