I'm still getting use to villager trading/selling and what not and was wondering, what is the average tip you give people once you've found your dreamie? I've let a few people know (by lurking etc.) that Rosie was my dreamie, but now that I have her I'm not sure how much I should be tipping everyone that was going to get her for me eventually >.<

Or if anyone could post a link if it's on here that would be great! I just don't want to offer too little tbt, but then I don't want to tip more than I really should! >.<

The answer is quite simple! Its whatever you find appropriate. :)

Just be generous, but don't go crazy.. unless you really want to, that is. :)

See now that I have more than enough tbt (to me anyway) I just want to go a tip everyone that ever held a villager for me eek >.<

I've had people actually hold a villager in boxes for me never ask for a tip if I already found them, and then I've had people who haven't even cycled out that villager or done anything with them, ask for a tip (which I found that to be a bit odd).

I even tip the people who come to my town to help me with visitors, but when people ask for a tip I never know if it's right or not, and usually just agree so I don't get negative feedback in case they are being honest >.<

^^ can I just say you are one of the nicest people on the forums if you are worrying about idiots who ask for tips love <3 they should be greatful enough that you are tipping them at all; I know plenty who don't >.<

who me? eek >.< But thank you <3 I just like to know what you should do and for how much on here as I never want to do the wrong thing and have someone think I'm ungrateful or being rude! A lot of the time I just don't know .. >.< The only thing that bothers me a bit is people who ask for tips but they've not gone out of their way or anything for you and just expect it :l Well as like, the people who visit my town to spam it, I know they're taking time out their day and gameplay to do it so want to at least make sure I give them something in return

it depends, i think of the system 10mil = 100 tbt (just to make math easy)

Now IGB have different worth to everyone, new players who have fewer find them more valuable whereas long time players with 100m bells are going to find them less, so it just depends on the player. So depending on the job would worthy a certain amount of tbt.

I would say 5-10tbt is appropriate for holding a villager but not delivering (because you found them), which relates to 500k-1Mil!

Hope this kind of helps :)

I second this. There are many people who I've helped and held onto villagers for days and they eventually either cancel or just find another villager before I could cycle that one out. I would honestly not worry. Unless it's someone who's been really helpful then I would probably tip then 5-10 tbt as a mini thanks. That's usually a pretty generous amount. People who haven't really done anything though I wouldn't even bother, but if you feel really like doing it anyways just 1-3 tbt, I guess, but I just think that's rude for them to ask for something when they didn't do anything.

It also depends on how much bells you need for your stuff like buying from stores/upgrading house/etc. I usually tip 99k since I have a lot of bells to spare due to lots of trades~

Tip what you want if you're getting them for free. Use your own judgment. Personally, I'd tip 99k and then 99k more for every tier that the villager is above Tier 5. Maybe tip a bit more for a tier 5 since those are usually on autovoid.

If I have to pay for a villager/anything, I usually don't leave a tip. If I do though, it's usually 10tbt or something small like a free item.
