I've been interested in writing my own music lately, and honestly I haven't been too creative lately. I also maybe want to pick up guitar. So, is there any advice for gaining my creativity back, and just songwriting in general?

The only advice I have personally is to not be afraid of "not playing well" or writing down some raw lines that you think are kind of dumb. You'll always have time to fine tune everything, find the right words, work on getting that transition or chorus or bridge right on your instrument, etc

Being overly critical of your work can be detrimental to the creative process
