Hi so there are a couple of villagers that I would like to toss and I don't TT. I heard if you just ignore them they will ping, although I had people ping after a few days despite constant attention. From the video I saw, apparently there is a friendship ladder and some of the villagers I have are continuing up the ladder despite ignoring them (They ping about something random, meaning the relationship is furthered and thus they will not leave.).

Has this friendship ladder concept been disproven? Is there another mechanic at work? Is this all random?! lol

I can't seem to find the hammer, if it aids in the process, although I am just getting Super T&T so that might be why.

Any and all help is welcome!

talk to them a lot, increase your friendship with them and they will move out. the villagers with high friendship always ask to move out it seems.A villager once asked me to move out and I said yes, but then he changed his mind because he said we weren't close enough yet or something like that...and I'm actually glad I didn't let him move out because he's one of my favorites now (chester)

It's all been random for me, my best friends and villagers I've never spoken to before have moved out.

The absolute fastest way for me has been getting a 10th villager. All of my villagers that have moved out, only asked to move out soon after I got a 10th villager. It seems that the game tries to keep your villager count at 9 and just temporarily at 10.

I've had Klaus in my town since the first day I got the game (maybe a month ago) and he just moved out this week. My sister and I talked to him for a bit then ignored him while my other sister never met him. After she finally met him he said he said he wanted to move out and when I went to talk to him about it he said we hadn't talked for a week.

I feel like it's a combo of what kiwi34fruit and midgetsc said. It's completely random but I find ignoring may help the process.

i know the video you're referring to. here's how the breakdown went for me.

pecan - i tried to get her out for almost a month, wacking her with bugnets and stuff. saw the video, realized i should ignore her instead. ignored her for about two weeks, and she was gone.

rocket - i never really abused rocket and talked to her daily so she was higher on the scale than pecan. i ignored her for about five days, and she moved.

yes, both rocket and pecan would still "ping" but i ignored them when they did. rocket moved out without me ever having the "omg should i move?" conversation with her.

This worked for me. Puddles moved in on Friday then Moe (my 10th) moved in on Saturday. On Sunday Puddles told me she was moving out on the 15th, that has to be some kind of record.

It's random, forget about hitting them with a hammer on a full moon with a fossil in your inventory. I've had villagers move in and out in a week, I. Never spoke to them. I've had villagers move out within a week and I have spoken to them. I've had 9 male villagers and the 1 female has moved out. I've had 1 snooty and 6 lazy and the snooty has gone. I really things its random.

I have moved out four villagers by, for two days, doing errands, selling them some things I can let go of, talking to them in general then stopping for two days. They should come up to you with exclamation of moving. Don't talk to or let them talk to you for any other reason once they say they're moving, they will change to staying! And try to focus on one villager at a time.

Be checking if it's an exiting period, the four days after someone's already fully moved in. If someone moved in and is still in boxes, no one will ask to move out. It's like they're all trying to meet the newcomer. xD

"You want me to move? Naw, Imma meet dis new dude first so I'll be more emotional when I do leave.

Yeah, I like to beat myself up."
