i just got one of my dreamies but without thinking i logged onto my mayor before resetting the plot! now its smack dab in front of retail, should i let him go and have a friend hold him while i cycle for him, or should i just deal with it? what would you guys do in this situation i feel so dumb cause it could have been so easily avoided!...

Don't feel that way. I never knew or understood (or really cared) how plot resetting/camper resetting worked; and when I finally did figure it out, I ended up losing a villager that I didn't want to lose in the process because after so many times of not seeing the tent up, I though that I had accidentally logged in on my mayor that day before trying to reset and that I wouldn't be getting any more chances of getting a camper until the next day, so I moved the clock to the next day. ><

Personally, I'd just deal with it; if the appearance of your town and its layout isn't that important to you, I'd suggest dealing with it. Otherwise, maybe have a friend hold him while you cycle.

Hmm, not sure what your town layout is like, but I've seen houses in front of other buildings and other people have made it work! You could make it look intentional perhaps? By making a path behind the villager's house and then a line of trees or what have you? Maybe go to some dream towns for inspiration. At the very least, if you can't find a way to design around it, you can always choose to cycle.

On the flip side of that, I saw a post earlier today that was about someone who had accidentally moved a dreamie out but she only had a handful of villagers she wanted in the town anyway. If you don't really have a ton of villagers you want in your town already, cycling will go a lot faster than not.

i just realized i could have a friend hold him but the problem is theyve had stitches before but dont remember how many villagers theyve had since then... is there anyway for them to know before stitches is in boxes? ...

does anybody know if theres a way to tell? like isnt it once they stop showing up on mainstreet?
cause if i put him in boxes and they cant take him i might cry, lol :(

if they've had stitches in their campsite since he moved the cycle is done. that's the only way i know how u can check, just because someone isn't in main street doesnt mean that they're still in the 16 villagers void ;;

Keep Stitches until your friend knows for sure if they can take him. I do think they won't show up on Main Street if they can move back in (not 100% sure, though), but have your friend check their Main Street and see if they can find out the last 16 villagers from that (make a list of the villagers found there, keep going back until they have 16 on the list or find Stitches in their Main Street).

If you're unhappy with Stitches' placement, definitely try and get him out ASAP. Cycling through the 16 villagers can take a bit, especially if you have villagers you want to keep and can't use the methods that cycle out random villagers.
