Adorable villagers with ugly pictures

I've recently learned that the AC wiki is not the be-all, end-all information source I thought it was. That's not to say that it has bad information or that it lacks anything; on that front, it is very helpful. But I've realized that many villagers that I previously thought were ugly or undesirable due to their official pictures, are actually totally adorable when you get them in-game.

For example, Bree the snooty mouse looks kind of weird and cross-eyed in her picture:

... but in-game she is literally so cute. Her eyes especially!

And Rodney the smug hamster. From his picture, I always thought he resembled a sleazy, acne-ridden teenager:

but then I met him in my cycling town and realized that he is literally one of the most adorable villagers ever.

I've since adopted both of them in my main town, and I've learned to always visit dream towns to see villagers in action instead of just trusting the pictures! Are there any villagers you guys think have an awful picture on the wiki but when you get them in-game are really really cute or cool?

i always thought Marshal's picture looked weird

usually questioned why he was so popular when he looked strange. when i saw him in my camp and got to talk to him and everything, i was like "damn, no wonder everyone loves him" he's so great :3

I agree with tympole, I thought Fang used to look really weird until I visited him in a dream town.

I also didn't think much of Curlos when I first saw his pic:


But then I visited him in the all-sheep dream town, and I couldn't handle how cute he was, with his kitty mouth. ;u;

I know right? There are some weird pictures. They aren't an accurate representation of the villager. Like Gruff's picture, he looks happy and like a peppy. The other one makes him look old and like a philosopher. He's really like tomatoes: has just the right amount of flavor to make him beloved by me.

Totally agree with this! I always google in game images of them before I make a final decision. There are so many different face expressions they each make, and side and back views make a difference too.
One who I think looks really weird in the wiki picture is Carmen. She looks like a mime or something!
Fuchsia's picture also isn't too flattering.
