Adopting starter villagers and returning them so they can have their real interiors?

Okay so one big rant I have about this game is that your starting villagers don't ever get to change their DIY furniture houses into their actual interior housing. This is for the first 5 villagers you have. And the sad thing is that I feel a lot of their personality shines through their home.

Has anyone thought or tried this idea? Like, when they ask to leave, you let your friend adopt them. Then you friend holds them and when they ask to leave again, you adopt them back to get their actual interior housing. Is that even possible that you ask them to come back?

Honestly I was so excited seeing their DIY houses and them crafting, thinking they would keep adding and changing furniture. But when I realized those were presets and they were stuck with it for life it made me so sad. I have a second level and 3 rooms to my house but they are still stuck in a one room DIY house.

Is there also a way to give feedback to Nintendo to ask them like maybe when they have stayed in your island for a month they would upgrade their house to the actual interior too? Because this really saddens me.

I do know that yes if you trade or give them to another person they will move into that persons town with their original furniture and NOT the DIY furniture which is good, however its really frustrating that they don't change overtime

I am planning on getting my friend to make Poncho and Filbert amiibos for me because Poncho sleeps in a sleeping bad and Filbert has a Dirt Floor when his real house has a rOCKET SHIP. I'm going to let them move out and then scan them back in. We will rebuld our friendships, but we can't fix those Horrible Houses.

If only it could keep the friendship that would be better. One of my starter villagers that grew on me (Teddy) is still sleeping in a sleeping bag and honestly it breaks my heart.

IKR! I got so sad. You know I gave him a rugby ball expecting him to put it on the table but NO he just dumps it on the floor
My boy has a key holder so I feel like they get a random wall decor that's diy (either the key holder or wall clock) but honestly he deserves better. And one time he had this dialogue "my sleeping bag? i like to feel like im roughing it out sometimes even when I have my own house!" and I was like sweetie... no...

Heck if they even added a quest system where I had to craft all their stuff for their house just like the first time I would LOVE IT. I'd gladly take diy recipes from them and be sent on a quest to craft the furniture so they can make their dream house NINTENDO PLEASE

I would love to make all their stuff for them!!!!! It would be a fun way to get recipes other than barging in while they're crafting, popping balloons, or getting one off the beach every day. I gave Poncho some protein powder and he put it on the table I guess that's all he eats....

omg if you did this your friendship with them remains right? like they'll still remember you? i only know they do remember you if visit your friends town, but never tried adopting them back!

also it's gonna be hard to redesign their houses, yes we can give them their furniture but they won't change the wallpaper & flooring i think
