Adopted Villager Question

So I went to someone's town yesterday and asked Stitches to move to my town. He said yes.

I loaded up my game this morning but his plot is nowhere to be seen.

My question is - Is it possible that 'adopted' villagers, if you like, don't always move in the day after? I have never gained a villager this way before. I know that if you ask someone to move in from the campsite, it can sometimes take a couple days for them to move in.

I wouldn't usually be worried about this but I really want him to move in. :')

Sometimes they take an extra day or two longer to move in than usual. Don't worry about it. He'll probably show up tomorrow.

Teddy told like, a week for me, but he still moved in. So no worries, Stitches will come, you could TT or wait.
