Adopted villager not moving in the day after?

I just adopted Fauna from a forum member, and she confirmed she was moving to thistle. I time traveled to the next day, but she's not here! I've looked everywhere :O Is this a thing that happens? Did I goof somewhere?

Don't worry , I recently invited a villager from my campsite to my town, and his house appeared after 2 days! She will be there soon!

I had it take 5(!) days once. I think most people would assume the villager wasn't coming and invite someone else(thereby cancelling the 1st villager.) I don't even know why it took so long. One of the 5 days was winter solstice but 5 days seems kind of an excessive delay.

Most times, it takes 2 or 3 days for someone to move in. I don't know of anyone who arrived the very next day.

How odd! I've had them move in the very next day at least 90% of the time. I've moved in lots and lots of villagers too.

i've always had villagers plot the day after when getting them from other towns, but getting them from campsites has them take 2 days. so i thought it was like that for everyone. my game's probably just weird

It's interesting to see the variation from person to person. In other news, Fauna is here and went in a great spot on the 8th try! You go girl!
