Active island resident

I started a new island on the 1st July. My active island resident says I’ve been active for 12 days but I don’t see how that is possible? I did put the date back to the 1st July when I made my new island so I could get through the first days quicker but don’t see how this would effect it as I only went one day at a time.

I think the game may have calculated an extra day or two due to the Time Traveling. Not completely sure, but I think its related to that somehow.
