ACNL Tattoos?

I am a huge ink junkie, and I know I am probably not the only one. I have been seriously contemplating getting an ACNL themed tattoo. I am not 100% on what I want to get yet, but I have been considering Katrina's line of "and remember bad times are just times that are bad" maybe a few of my favorite characters, but I am not sure yet.

I feel kind of crazy having this kind of love for a silly kids game, but as for someone who is also considering getting many tattoos related to her favorite cartoons maybe it's not that silly?

I just wanted to make a thread asking if anybody else has or is thinking about getting an Animal Crossing related tattoo, and if so what are YOUR ideas?

I thought about that but I usually go big or go home with my tattoos, haha. I might incorporate it into whatever I end up getting. maybe some things in the outline of the leaf would be cool...

I am thinking maybe like a little view of a piece of town with the trees, maybe a house, and a few of my favorite villagers, isabelle maybe, all housed in a ACNL leaf cut out.... I would have to mock it up to see if I like it though. AND WHERE TO PUT IT? OH GOD! Even with so much body to work with placement is always so hard to me!

I think K.K. Slider with his guitar would be a cute tattoo , I like the idea of a few villagers and trees in a cut out leaf shape or something as well. I don't have any tattoos but Im considering one as I have an exact design in mind (not AC related though).

I like the Katrina line. I have several text tattoos, myself, and that would be something subtle that fans would recognize, but those who don't know it would still like.

I don't have any AC ink, but I do have an MLP-inspired image on my right leg, and I'm a good bit older than you are, so I wouldn't worry about taking something from a "kid's game". More important that it be something you know you'll love always.

I plan on getting a tattoo related to Jingle somehow. I just haven't figured out exactly what I want yet.

My current idea is to get an antler(/s) that spell Jingle along them ~ after noticing the end of an antler looks like JI usually anyway. My problem is I don't think there is any way of making a G look nice this way. xD


There are loads of little AC symbols that would probably make decent tattoos. I've seen a pic before of the fossil icon and a few other odd things. A little lanscape scene inside a leaf sounds like a cool idea, though I imagine it'd have to be pretty big for the details. o:

That's a super unique idea! And I know it's gunna be big, most of my tattoos are pretty big already, I am not a very subtle kind of person... My smallest tattoo was my first one and it's at lest four inches across... I am just trying to think of what real-estate I would, or should, commit to it. I have a ton of non-acnl tattoos in the works too, it's a sickness I swaer!

Yeah, I'm dead set on the idea now. And have a couple friends and myself drawing things up to see if I can find a good outline to propose to a tattoo artist.

So it'll be plenty big enough to get a decent screenshot sized landscape then? If you have your house exterior a particular way you could have that and your fav villagers house next to it? Or your fav shop? Or a pretty scene with a couple of villagers wandering through it. Though you can pick time of day and season and everything for it if that's what you go for.

this would be awesome!! i have such a love for pokemon that i got a pokemon tattoo.. and im thinking about a sleeve..
if think if you love a game so much, why the hell not get a tattoo for it? i think my boyfriend should get a tattoo for animal crossing, he loves the game! and it would really suit him!

Isabelle would be my focal piece. If you have a town flag it could be placed behind her. The artist could incorporate acnl fruits as filler. So many options.

I think that's such a nice idea! There's nothing wrong with getting a tattoo of something you love and will bring you happiness when you see it/think about it!

Having a landscape in the leaf sounds lovely. I love those tattoos where there's a border and there's a landscape inside.

I don't have any tattoos, but I like the idea of getting one or two in the future. I've never thought about getting an AC themed one though, but this has set my imagination going!

I love the idea of using Katrina's quote! Maybe you could have it surrounding the leaf? Or underneath it?

Lately, I've also been thinking about getting an ACNL inspired tattoo. I was thinking along the lines of one of my
favorite villagers, Francine. but I'm also considering getting Bubblegum K.K's album art improvised a bit cause Francine and Chrissy look so adorable~ ♥ In general though, I think anything to do with K.K Slider would make a great tattoo
maybe even Brewster, him and his pigeon milk.
