ACNL: SD Card photo error

"The photo limit has been reached. Delete to save more."

Seems self explanatory... if i still didn't have 27g left on my 32g card. I moved EVERY photo off my SD card when i got that message to my computer, and put a photo-free SD card to my 3ds.

I can still take pictures on my 3ds. I can still AR read and take pictures though that (Pokedex Pro), but animal crossing new leaf still says that "The photo limit has been reached. Delete to save more."

I have turned off my 3ds multiple times, thinking i just needed a reboot, and nothing changed. I even took an air can to the cart, card, and system, and it still says "The photo limit has been reached. Delete to save more."

I'm at a loss here....

How do I fix this?

Do you have Digital version? Maybe New Leaf is its own "photo-taking service." Like each game has it's own GB/MB limit and once it's reached, you need to delete those pictures? IDK though. I'm no whiz with SD cards.

I had the same message but I just put all my photos onto my computer and wiped them from the card and it worked. Maybe you putting in a new card has confused it because its not formatted to your 3ds?

Try moving the data from the sd card and reformatting it. That may work?

What if you delete the folders (DCIM or something) that have the pictures inside? Is that OK?

No i didnt put in a new card. Its the same card.

Access the Nintendo 3DS Camera app. It'll update the number of photos you can take after moving your old photos from SD Card to your computer (limit is 3000).

After opening the app, you should be able to take pictures in New Leaf again.

Happened to me once and I hope this helps.

I have this too, ive tried doing everything it says above but i cant get it to work again

Fix: Copy all from SD card to computer. DO NOT Remove using computer as this messes up SD Card. Once copied to computer, reinsert and open Photo App and select delete all images and videos through there.

I agree with the suggestion above, just go to the photo app. It happened to me once too and that fixed the problem.
