Acnl is ruining my life...

1) I ended up buying a second 3ds and game because I wanted a second town and to be able to visit myself, so I spent money that I didn't have to spend.
2) I still want like 8 more towns
3) I'm on this site or others constantly making trades and playing and wasting hours

Haha I know I'll stop getting so obsessed after a while because that's the kind of person I am so I'm not worried. Like I get obsessed with something for 1-2 month, get bored and leave it for over 6 month, wonder what was good about it and what changed so I play again, get obsessed again and so on. I haven't played this game for 8 month and now I'm re-obsessed..whoops

Hehe. I go through phases like that too with anything I get interested in. I'll be playing a game that I like over and over again, and then when I get bored or find another game I like, I start playing that over and over again. There's nothing wrong with that. (I have OCD, so, that's probably explains part of this for me that is xP).

Ever since I joined these forums, the more I read people's posts and see their towns, the more I consider getting a second ds and getting another cartridge of Animal Crossing lol, but I don't have a good job and I don't have a lot of 3DS games as it is to make it worth it.

also restarted my town like a month ago & om hooked , recently got all my dreamies (woo) & now I'm waiting for my T&T to upgrade & upgrade . also trying to finished my dream town , also need to redecorate, get the cafe & police station , get Gracie , phew so much , but it's going to be all worth it in the end ;_; *hopefully

i been obsessed with these game for forever the longest i ever went without plying is 2 wks, i finally figured out how to balance my time and i on as scheduled meaning i just carry my ds every where and dont socialize lol

I'm exactly the same! I bought AC:NL during the first week of release, played it solidly for about... 6 months, maybe more? Then put it down for a while. And now I'm back and obsessed again... I think I tend to play things to death and I just need a long break from it all before I go back to it. But you are not alone!

If your genuinely distressed, back away from the 3DS, put it out of sight and forget about it. I had to do this with WoW back in the day, I got seriously addicted.
I tend to play games heavily for a month or two then burn out and come back like six months later. Not WoW though, not going through that again
