ACNH Posters, Villager Pics & Giveaways: Opinions

Hi! I’m thinking of maybe holding some giveaways eventually (probably won’t be anytime soon) and wanted to know what items people like seeing in giveaways the most and if there is any interest in poster giveaways? I have almost a full collection because of amiibo cards with the exception of a large number of the WA series and a few in series 4 and I can order the Sanrio ones since I traded for them.

Another option I’m considering is cycling some amiibos collecting their pictures and using dupes of their pictures since I want some for myself, to give away - though this would take a long time to do with every villager especially since I only have two non-dreamies on my island now.

I’m considering a few options: either using the colorful wheel like I’ve seen a lot of people doing and wrapping the posters (or other items), or making it a giveaway where people have to talk about their favorite villager and why they like them or something to enter and there being a couple different sets of prizes (each maybe being different themes).

What are your thoughts and what kind of giveaways and items would you be interested in seeing? I don’t tt more than a day forward or backwards, so seasonal diys and furniture is out of the question for now (plus I’m missing a lot myself).

The reason I’m considering holding a or more than one giveaway is because there have been so many people on the forums that have helped me - recently and a couple of years ago back in NL. I want to do something fun and give a little back even though I don’t really have much to offer atm (and my island is far from complete & is a mess lol).

I’m sorry if this should be posted elsewhere; wasn’t sure where to post this since I just want some opinions.

Posters can be cataloged and ordered btw if you want to do that for others. They won't show up in the posters section but you can search "poster" and they'll show up

That is a good option too; thanks for the suggestion! I never thought of cataloguing, tbh. I just thought depending on how many I choose to order and lay out, it’d be easier to just give them away if anyone wanted them since I haven’t decided how to use them with my house. I’ll definitely consider this

Been having a problem with the diys taking up space on the ground and i am not sure off hand how much storage space i have.

I've definitely seen interest in poster cataloguing/giveaway events before! I think they're a fairly good item to give away, especially for completionists, because you can't get them unless you trade for them or unless you have that villager in your town/use Amiibo.

My gut says that there would be more interest in cataloguing though. It would be easier for you in that you wouldn't have to order multiples, and people could catalogue the ones they like and leave the rest. You would have to be vigilant and ensure that nothing is stolen though.

I think other nice items to giveaway could include useful items (eg. fish bait, gold nuggets) or non-orderables (eg. Gulliver/Gullivarr items).

I'm looking to catalog all the NPC and Sanrio posters again... I bought them off someone here but then reset my island (don't ask). The Villager poster seems to be really rare as well. Anyway I'll be on the lookout in case you decide to do it

I do have the villager, but I’ve never opened the amiibo. Thanks for letting me know about him having one . I managed to avoid needing to doing it by having someone give me the statue in HHD, but now I’ll think about it. I only have one amiibo opened and it was a dupe (someone gave me it for christmas). I had to get the Japanese one since the English one was out of stock at that point.

Thank you so much! I appreciate that! Yes, you’re right. I’ll concentrate on completing and preparing the poster collection and after that, I’ll maybe consider just picking a few that I think people would really want and plan it for maybe a separate giveaway.

Getting more villager framed photos takes a lot of time without time travel. With time travel, it's super tedious.

I would be interested in cataloging all the NPCs photos since you can only get them through amiibos. Villagers posters would be good though. I would be interested in cataloging those are some point.

i think photos as a giveaway is a lot. If you have triples of a villager than maybe as a high tier prize incentive.


I wouldn't mind cata exchange of photos but it has to be someone trustworthy.
