ACNH 3.0 Update Out !!!!

You can't use the custom designs from others on Slumber Island as far as I know.

Scratch that! You can bring over them over!

You can still decorate your docks. I was even able to drop items just outside the hotel building

You still cannot
- Move the Town Hall/Plaza
- Move inclines and bridges.
- Rename the Island or yourself

I'm loving the new items, but I'm kinda disappointed that they showed most of them in the trailer. I was hoping they had a lot more sets to reveal, but nope.

I've not got it yet. With the hotel, does it still have the length of your dock from before (short and long) or is it one uniform size now?

Wut? It’s already out? Should I sleep? It’s almost 10pm here… 😔
Go ahead and sleep. If you manage to fall asleep, tomorrow will be there in no time.

I am assuming it's all uniform size, with it being a facility, and considering it's being placed in the ocean.

Is this a good update for non-NSO users like me? I like the quality of life stuff like Resetti, the bulk crafting, and quantity, but...

I don't see how it benefits the island other then design, and you can't seem to have hotel guests move on to your island. :\

Does anyone have Resetti yet??

Just found him!!

Wow, I was honestly expecting it to release yesterday, but hey, early is early I guess.

I expected the update to come out early like it did with the 2.0 update. Guess my theory paid off!

I'm not sure why the decided to release it earlier then planned, but it was a neat surprise. I downloaded it and the first thing I tried to do was sit on boulders. But sadly we can't :( I also tested the tools to see if there was an update to show signs or wear or how close they are to breaking. I wish they added that. For such a core part of the game it's something we should know. When the ax was about to break in older games they showed up that. Even Botw and Totk show us when the weapons are about to break.

I tested out crafting first. I'm glad that it wasn't just restricted to in house. We can bulk craft and pull from storage and pockets both outside and inside a home. The first thing I bulk crafted was fish bait. I was hoping to be able to craft as much as I wanted as long as I had the space, but I'll take 10 as the limit.

Crafting the tools for the achievement will really go fast with this feature.

I was pleasantly surprised by how custom designs work in slumber islands, even if it’s a bit confusing. I wish we could change the season though!

Free advice: if you’re looking to max out the cycling of Kapp’n’s rewards, buy out a full max of cardboard boxes for the next few days on the shopping app— I was able to cycle through almost a thousand points from crafting alone already until I got hit with a full slate of box furniture and flower craftables

I went online to order a Zelda amiibo and am hoping I got the right one to bring Mineru to my island--It was confusing since there are so many different Legend of Zelda amiibos available.

From Reddit, here are the amiibos that work for each character :

Tulin (The Legend of Zelda)

  • Bokoblin (Breath of the Wild)
  • Daruk (Breath of the Wild)
  • Ganondorf (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Link (Archer) (Breath of the Wild)
  • Link (Majora’s Mask)
  • Link (Smash Bros)
  • Link (Skyward Sword)
  • Link (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Revali (Breath of the Wild)
  • Toon Link (Smash Bros)
  • Toon Link (Wind Waker)
  • Tulin (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Young Link (Smash Bros)
  • Yunobo (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Zelda (Wind Waker)
  • Zelda and Loftbird (Skyward Sword)
Mineru (The Legend of Zelda)

  • Ganondorf (Smash Bros)
  • Guardian (Breath of the Wild)
  • Link (8-Bit) (The Legend of Zelda)
  • Link (Link’s Awakening)
  • Link (Ocarina of Time)
  • Link (Rider) (Breath of the Wild)
  • Link (Twilight Princess)
  • Mipha (Breath of the Wild)
  • Riju (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Sheik (Smash Bros)
  • Sidon (Tears of the Kingdom)
  • Urbosa (Breath of the Wild)
  • Wolf Link (Twilight Princess)
  • Zelda (Breath of the Wild)
  • Zelda (Smash Bros)
  • Zelda (Tears of the Kingdom)

Currently playing it.

Obvious Pros: Resetti's service, the small QoL stuff, You can literally grind tickets by placing a single furniture piece in the 2 hotel rooms you do, they don't really care about room design.

Cons:
  1. Hotel Guests are temporary, and won't move to island. This makes the hotel useless, and I will never be using the hotel. I am autistic and I don't have a creative brain, so no point in trying to do rooms.
  2. Resetti - each time you use it, it's 60k bells. each. and. every. single. TIME. I personally think 60k bells is overpriced. That should be the price for maybe the entire island since I believe that is one of the options. I would NOT pay 60k for a single area. I think maybe cutting that in half should be the way for an area.
  3. I don't know how to get bells best without NSO other than insects/fish, and those best insects or fish don't spawn that much, even when walking around. That means I can't do anything with my storage for the update. I don't have like 5mil for the rest of storage past the 400 storage I currently have.
