Ack! Advice please! Clock out of whack.

Ok, I'm not sure how this happened, but somehow my AC time is Dec 1, 2012! I don't *think* it's been messed up the whole time I've been playing, but I'm really confused as to how it happened. LOL Regardless, I want it back on regular time, but I don't like TTing in my town, usually. What's the best and hopefully fastest way to get my clock on the right date? Should I TT backwards? I really do NOT want to lose my favorite villagers, Bob and Apple especially (Though if Cesar would leave, that'd be a bonus. LOL) Help, please!! I need some advice since I don't normally mess with the clock. :)
 
uhm, tt backwards until someone asks to move and then just tt forward in one go, a whole year?

Thanks, Sorry! :D I'm hoping someone has some experience with moving in such a large jump. If I have to go a couple of days at a time to avoid losing my faves I will, but that's REALLY going to suck. LOL
 
It's really hard for me to imagine you losing any villagers if you travel back just one day. I'd do it. Just instruct Isabella to set it to the current time, then run around and talk to everybody you like when you get back to real time, to make sure nobody's mumbling about moving.

I would risk the whole year jump. I've done it before, just make sure that none of Your favorites are moving at the time
And it's also best to do it when someone you don't want is moving

I'm stuck in 2012 as well lol I was TTing and forgot to change it to 2014 D: You'll have to go forward day by day carefully- If you do a big forward jump may loose your dreamies , I lost Zucker by only going 2 days forward D:
 
I TT often. On my opinion the easiest way is to do all at once. If someone says he wants to move and you say please stay, thats the best day. Then nobody will move out on that TT I guess. Do you have to clean town rule? Otherwise it will get messed up with weeds and you lose many flowers.
Thats what I would do. I still wonder how that could happen...

Oh my gosh, jumping an entire year seems super scary to me. LOL What if I lose someone?? I mean, don't they move out, even when you're not loading the game??

That's what I'm afraid of, lynn! It might take me all night, but I can do it a couple of days at a time if I have to, if I'm guaranteed not to lose my favorites.

You have 2 options essentially:
1. Day by Day
OR
2. When you get someone who wants to move that you do not mind having move out, go ahead and jump an entire year. When someone is already selected to move, the rest of your villagers are "safe" essentially.

Just be sure to set to Beautiful Ordinance (if you aren't already) before doing #2

Also be sure to check your 3DS' date.
 
I did many jumps about a year and never someone moved. I would say they only decide to move when you play. Means if now someone asks for and you keep him and then TT there is no way somebody else can decide to move. I'm not 100% sure, but 90^^
Travel every single day also makes it more likely you will lose someone.
 
Ok, thanks for all the help guys!! I guess I'll get someone to ask to move and then I'll risk it. I don't want to lose anyone, but it is, after all, only a game :D But I will be very sad if I lose Bob, Apple or Chadder. LOL I'll report back how it went when I get the nerve to do it. LOL I'm such a sissy. And yes, I do have beautiful ordinance! Thanks!!

This is actually the way I did it if you read my recent blog entry. I accidently Time Traveled a whole year. And the only reason I didnt loose a villager was because I had just had someone leave and adopted Flo from someone else. The game was stuck between a villager just leaving and Flo wanting to come in. So when I time traveled a whole year, Flo was already settled in and no one had moved out. Flo was pretty upset that I never said hi to her for a year tho. LOL I then waited for another villager to ask to move out. Which was Gigi. I once I told her to get lost, I time traveled back a whole year to where I wanted to be. Started the game. No one, not even Gigi had left yet. Gigi left 3 days later like she said. And now I've replaced her with Aurora. So I hope that helps you!
