I know it will be a looooooooong time before this game comes here (if it comes), but can I just say how excited I was to find this trailer?! ^_^

And I'll place this under a spoiler since it's... well... a spoiler, LOL. Even though it's in Japanese and I don't understand a single word, I still think it's awesome! ^_^

I hope an older Maya will show up in this. I know she's busy, but with a game taking place in something called the Kurain Kingdom, she should be there.

I was lucky enough to play the demo at TGS last year. It looks like it's shaping up to be a very interesting game and I'm really looking forward to it! Hoping for a summer release for Japan, please please please.

I'm a big fan of the series, so of course I'm looking forward to it. It's probably wishful thinking, but I'd really like Capcom to release a physical copy in North America this time. :/

Also looking forward to the anime.

From here:

Ace Attorney 6 (working title) (逆転裁判 6, Gyakuten Saiban 6; lit. "Turnabout Trial 6") is the upcoming sixth installment of the Gyakuten Saiban series, and the tenth installment overall in the Ace Attorney series of text adventure video games. It was announced in Famitsu on September 1, 2015 as a title for the Nintendo 3DS, with Motohide Eshiro as producer and Takeshi Yamazaki as director. It was confirmed shortly after the Japanese announcement that the game was in development for a Western release.

Story

Phoenix Wright travels to the Kingdom of Kurain. When his tour guide is arrested, he offers to go watch the trial. Upon learning that the country's courtroom has no defense attorneys, and instead relies on oracles to render its verdicts, he raises an objection and springs into action. Communion with otherworldly spirits is a concept previously only used with the Fey clan. The developers have explained that they felt that no one could prove a match for Phoenix Wright anymore in his usual setting, so they moved him to a foreign country with a different court system, which would provide a sense of urgency not seen in his usual games.

Meanwhile, Apollo Justice remains in his usual setting in Los Angeles, handling cases for the Wright Anything Agency.

Gameplay

Ace Attorney 6 uses a "five strike" penalty system. This will be the first main series Ace Attorney game since Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney to use this system, rather than the variable health bar-like "Confidence Gauge" system that has been in place since Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice For All. Due to feedback that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies gave too many hints to the player, the developers are aiming to have fewer direct clues in Ace Attorney 6, as well as giving the player the option of disabling the appearance of hints in the dialogue. Additionally, while Dual Destinies only allowed the usage of the "Examine" feature in specific locations, investigation segments in Ace Attorney 6 will allow them to "Examine" any environment, more akin to the other games in the series.

A new gameplay element involves a "water mirror" on the floor of the courtroom. Mediums are able to use the mirror to show what a victim saw and felt during their final moments.

I don't remember Dual Destinies giving too many hints, but then, it was the first Ace Attorney game I ever played and it was quite some time ago. Still, I'm definitely looking forward to this game (please come to Europe, PLEASE!). ^_^

I'm playing through all games now (some for the second time), and I do think it's a bit easier than the other games. The final case of Justice For All busted my nuts, I never really felt like that with Dual Destinies.

As for a European release date... I hope they localize Dai Gyakuten Saiban first. It's a side story about one of Wright's ancestors, but I'd love to play it regardless.

I'm playing them in reverse order, LOL. I played "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney" a while ago and it was okay, but since I was used to the pretty graphics of "Dual Destinies", I kinda had to make myself continue playing, ha ha. I'm now playing the trilogy (3DS remake), but I keep getting distracted, so I'm only on the third case of the first game. ^_^'

I'm honestly can't be excited about this game when they skipped localizing Dai Gyakuten Saiban :( I want a silly Sherlock Holmes in my lawyer game, dammit.

Dual Destinies offered more hints as in where to go next, which statement we should press, which one we should present evidence to, etc. Previous games were more vague in that, and it's often you ended up presenting everything to every statement to see which one works, lol! It sounds frustrating but it actually fits Wright's personality that way, since he often doesn't know what to do in a pinch.

All I want is for the game to be less cheesy this time. Dual Destinies dialog makes me cringe sometimes, it does that thing where the character tells you something instead of showing the players (ex: characters that are supposedly skilled doesn't seem that skilled, but everyone else keep you telling you that they are; characters who are supposedly best friends doesn't look like that)

TL;DR I didn't enjoy Dual Destinies that much compared to the other games. I thought the characters are GREAT but the rest falls flat. Which is why I'm not looking forward to AA6. I'll still play it as a loyal AA fan but my expectations would be low :/

Definitely excited for this <3 I started with DD but got kinda stuck and now I finally finished the first game in the trilogy so huzzah that was 30+ hours of fun and well I LOVE the fact that in the trilogy it REALLY, REALLY makes one think like an attorney when piecing the whodunnit together xD I am also gonna admit I enjoy Phoenix vs. Layton haha I guess I am more keen on that than DD+loving 3d puzzles :3 But wow hope this meets my expectations whenever it may be released if ever in NA : )

I keep forgetting about that game... I'm guessing they didn't localize because the game might not have a lot of success (since it's not Phoenix Wright)?

Haha, yeah, I forgot I played that one as well. I really enjoyed it, but at some point I felt the trials were too long. Mostly because...
I didn't really like the cross-examining of multiple witnesses. (Not sure if this is a spoiler, but you never know, haha.)

The actual reasons the higher ups decided not to localize is unknown, but the localization team was told to work on AA6 instead, and they are a small team so they can only work on one project at time. There's always a chance that DGS could be localized later but I have my doubts.

I'll definitely get it if it gets a European release... although I don't know if I finished Dual Destinies.

Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton was such a fun game, though! I miss Maya ;;

They keep thinking people won't play if it's not Phoenix Wright but fans said that because we got Apollo Justice which... didn't really do justice to Phoenix Wright after what happened in the trilogy. I'm neutral toward Apollo so I don't care either way (though I did miss Nick) but it was weirder to see him change back in DD. It's like AA4 never happened lol.

It might be because of localization trouble. I heard the game had some references that would make sense to Japanese players, but might be lost in translation. Especially when the localization changed the setting for the trilogy to America instead of Japan, it might make keeping continuity hard. I hope they're just keeping it aside cause it takes more work to localize :(

Anyway, all I'm hoping for is the return of Maya. I really miss seeing her ;_;
