Accidentally told a villager to move

I accidentally told one of my villagers to move out today. Am I able to reload the game today to try and change their mind or do I have to wait until at least tomorrow?

NO NO NO. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW D': Go to Nintendo DS menu, close ACNL, then reopen. They should ping you again (if you haven't saved)! If you wait until tomorrow, they will move away for sure 8C

If they're planning on moving out and not in boxes yet you can just keep talking to them and they'll bring it up in conversation, where you can convince them not to move.

OP already told them to move; he needs to reload without saving to get the conversation to pop up again so they can pick an alternate choice. ; o ;

If you keep talking to them, they will bring it up in the conversation

I totally misplayed and forgot I could just leave the game without saving. -_- I wanted to hunt some monsters.

I'll just need to spam him everyday. May I talk to him or do they need to ping me?

if you havent saved yet, press home then close the game and he will ping you again! id di that once and was able to do that. also, his mind is only made up when he is in boxes. keep talking to him sometime before he goes in boxes and he will bring it up and ask again!

If you've already saved, that's... kinda unfortunate since there's no way to undo that then :x

even if you tell a villager to move out, they'll constantly bring it up until the day of their move if you talk to them, and you'll be given the option to tell them to leave or stay again.

Ahh, I apologize @_@. I thought that they never brought it up again, since I've been cycling for a while and never saw them bring it up more than once (and I've seen multiple threads with the whole exit and reload, never a mention of the "try again next day") :'x. I'll edit my post immediately.

Alternatively, if you have another character in the town, they should ping that character as well if they have talked to them previously. So you could switch characters and tell them to stay.


It worked for me when I accidentally told Pompom to leave before getting her picture.
