Have you ever done it?! Ive done it twice now! I was so happy to have Bud leaving, as I really dislike him and he doesnt match my town well... and in trying to get him to ping for PWP's, I accidentally told him to stay. Ugh. Well now I guess Im stuck with him. Hopefully this means I can at least get another disliked villager in a worse plot area to go... looking at you Ankha, Agent S, and Rodney...

I've had mixed feelings about letting villagers go before (like Ankha) and either regretted letting them go later or regretted keeping them.

just close without saving next time, load back and go up to the villager again. They will re-ask you if they should move

yea i reset when this happens. also cases of me being like (: bye ***** and they go WELL ILL STAY OUT OF SPITE

I've done the opposite, I told a favorite villager they could move. I turned off the 3DS on the spot haha

Toadsworthy - I would have, but I had just finished a bunch of stuff in my town that I would have lost if I did that. :/ At least his house isnt in a horrible spot.

it will come back around! my worst thing is losing a villager then getting a rando move in and I have to then make someone else I like move before the rando even starts to think to move

Nah, I've never had that happen with someone I hate, however I recently wanted to move out Marina (bless that pink blob), and the way she basically told me "I'm staying" when I said "Good luck!" was so weird and like neutral that I thought she was still moving, but apparently she wasn't. I don't remember her exact dialogue, but it was my first time seeing it, and I totally thought she was like "I'll miss you all, but bye!" It was more like "I won't be able to see you all anymore...:("

In the end it caused a bit of trouble for the person adopting her, because it took like a day or two to cycle her out for them, but it worked out and we're both happy now!

If a villager you dislike pings you but you've done too much work, then ignore their ping, save your game, and then re-load it, and get them to ping you again.

1. Don't save, why would you save when you could reset and still have them leave? (This is why you should save & continue frequently)
2. How could you possibly dislike Ankha?

I got a villager from a vistor's void (Ken) and I could NOT get rid of him for over a MONTH. I finally get his ping (after working so hard to build our friendship) and I'm like PLEASE GET OUT and he got upset and said we needed to work on our friendship. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE GAME OFF, he pinged me again and agreed to move. BUT THEN, he dragged it out. Every day I had to talk to him several times in order for him to mention his move where I had to keep telling him to LEAVE. Twiggy gave me trouble in the past but I didn't dislike her, I genuinely disliked this villager and I still do LOL. He didn't give me his picture when he moved out and I am A-OK with that! ;D

I've had something similar before! Was a while ago when I was still trying to move out originals and Midge pinged to move. Nothing wrong with her but she isn't a dreamie....so I tell her yes and she replies so vaguely that I assume she is agreeing to move. She wasn't. I was stuck with her for another month after that :( have since learned my lesson with normals....

I have also accidentally told a moving villager to stay before now, but I always just turn off the game. Even if I've done loads, I worry it will take too long to get them to ping again!

Crap! That just happen to me with doc. He is the last villager I'm trying get out of one of my towns and I blew it! Oh well, just have to wait it out until he pings me again!

Too bad. Once I accidentally got Rosie to move and I spent 2 hours trying to get her to ask for reassurance.

Sorry to hear of your situation. It can be SO frustrating sometimes!

Been there. And all the other situations mentioned here. And once I had a villager I wanted to move from one town to another - I liked them so I wanted them in my other town. They never budged so I had to start cycling and risk other villagers I like leaving. It was so stressful but they finally moved after one other permanent resident was cycled into boxes.

Oh and I also know what you mean about not saving - I had just gotten a perfect PWP request right before a ping I desperately wanted!
