I sold one of my villagers pictures by mistake, is it possible to get another one from them?

Yes it is completely possible. Just keep talking to them and helping them out, letting them come over uninvited to your house and they'll hopefully give you their picture again.
If you're a time traveller and can't wait there is always April Fools.
