Does anyone know of a way to download a guide to the 3DS? Having the guide handy when I can't wi-fi or don't want to take the physical guide would be awesome.

Nope. If you have an Android or iOS device, there's the AC:NL app (Android version || iOS version) that's really good to have.

I just use the guides that are available on the internet. The official one has way too many errors to be trusted.

Not that I know of. I'm wondering if there's any other official guides (in English) other than the Prima guide. I want to have a physical copy of a guide so bad, but I don't want Prima's!

Not to my knowledge. Your best bet are the guides online and/or the app (which I posted links to both Android & iOS version in my last post).
