I know this is really late to be posting this, but when I was at moot last week, I didn't see ANY of you when the room closed. I was the ONLY one there in the alliance. We can't keep missing moot; we should go unless we have something important to do. As a result of me being alone, I lost. I was mooted early, (and I'm not sure if I was supposed to be or not, I was just kinda mooted) real early. I hope to see at least ONE of you people there with me tomorrow, because my chances of winning without any "alliance-mates" with me are about .000001%.
Also, just now, I thought of another way we can increase our chances. We need to find out who is the best, and moot them while we have the chance. A good way to do this is to watch what people say. If they answer a question correctly, chances are that's not the first one they've gotten. Target those that have a good history of moot, and we should get rid of our biggest challenge so we're left with a bunch of n00bs.
Also, we need to check Power On frequently. Shaun posts the theme there, usually early, so as soon as you see it, check it, and if you don't know much about the theme, study it. Think of it as if you're studying for the biggest test you've ever taken.

We can decide everything during the hour before trivia, while we're in NOA HQ. We'll communicate via PM, so let's have the PM noticification on. Either that, or we have TBT up at the same time, and communiate via a thread here.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'll put on my watch in the morning, with the alarm set to 4:45 (I'm in the central time zone, so it starts at 5:00 down here) so I can get here before chat starts. I advise everybody to do sometihing similar. I want to pair up with someone. I don't care who, just anybody! Oh, and I can try to make the top of the list. After six to seven years of video gaming, my reflexes are top notch. I can easily make the fourth or fifth position.
Also, I thought of yet another way to improve our chances. (Another way? This guy is an endless idea machine!) Spend ONE HECK OF A LOT of time practicing your keyboarding. People at moot type at blazing speeds, so you need to be able to get the answer in a press enter within less than a second, if it's a short one. Maybe we should PM Shaun with a new rule idea: the first one (or second, third, whatever Shaun decides) to post one and only one letter "buzzes in". If that player gets the answer wrong, it's mooting time for that person. Then someone else can buzz in. If the amount of people who get it wrong climbs up to a number that is the same as the number of people that would be mooted by that question, then Shaun just moves on to the next question. Don't ask what should happen if you get it right, you should know. This rule makes it much more fair, cause everyone could have their letter typed in before the question is asked. It also penalizes those who think they can get away with hitting enter a milisecond after Shaun posts the question. It would allow those who type slow to actually have a chance that isn't astronomicly low.

I actuall sugest going earlier than 15 minutes. I usually get in there an hour before, right when the chat room opens.
As for parterners, I'll be with you PKMN, since we seem to be the only ones for sure if we're going. But if I can't make it for some reason (it'll prbably becasue I'll be eating dinner) you'll have to get another partner.

Everybody, I might not make it today. Just today, I got a fourth GBA/GCN cable, and if a couple of friends come over, me, my brother, and them will probably play TLOZ:FSA with four players; something I've really wanted to do. But I haven't been able to until today; we've only had three cables. We played with three people, and it was good, but I really want to play with four. That's gotta be where half the fun is.
I'm not saying that I won't be there, but if I play FSA, I probably won't be at moot in time. Spending time with friends and family is certinally better than spending time with total strangers. (no offense)

Hey, you don't know that for sure. My friends might have things to do and I might be able to come. I'll usually be there, cause there's not much else I can do, usually.
