While campsite resetting with a new character just now I noticed Shari had a plot reserved several times. I'm fairly certain she's from someone's void. At the moment I have nine villagers. If I go back to last night when I quit and invite someone to move in, will they take the tenth spot or will she keep them from moving in?

Once you invite someone to move in this should stop Shari from moving in, but only if she does not have a plot down when you do it. So if you go back, and load up a second character with no plot of Shari, save it then invite someone in, you should be fine and free of Shari. Voided villagers are crappy, especially if they are someone you don't want. ._.

I'm not sure you'd be able to ask someone to come in now since you said a plot has already appeared in your town. It's kinda too late then if she is starting to place her plot somewhere. You might be stuck with her. Even going back to the night before won't help. Sorry :(

Since I don't have that much experience in this matter, you might be able to do what Jovi said, but even then make absolute sure that her plot is no where to be found.

I completely know what you're going through. Diva moved in the same way and I didn't even realize until she placed her house before it was too late.

On this note, of not being sure. I've got past it. As long as there is no plot already saved, you can get someone else to move in. The game goes based off asked > void grabs. So if you ask someone to move in, they should be who moves on. The only time I've seen other wise is when someone pick up a voided villager, then asks someone to move in, and before moving in that villager (usually because they are unwilling to TT) they pick up another voided villager else where.

The best way to avoid is to go back to the last day that was actually saved and try to get someone you'd actually like in. Like I've said, I've done this method plenty of times to avoid getting someone I don't want. It's essentially the same as keeping the game on the same day, as long as you don't save anything you don't want you can always go back to the last day that was actually saved.

I'm fairly certain that if you've already loaded the game as your mayor, then the plot's location and owner are fixed and you can't change them. That's why people who plot reset or reset for villagers use new characters to check each time and only save using those characters if they're happy with the location or villager they got.

Shari's plot hasn't been saved. I've been using a new character over and over to get a good camper. Last save as mayor was the day before in game time. Thanks.

I noticed a voided character when camper resetting once. I blocked it by inviting Flurry from my campsite the day before. I assume it would work the same inviting someone from a different town.
