How many of you have bought a second 3DS and game to give away villagers/get your dream villagers/make a better town without resetting?

I have four game copies. But only one 3ds is mine, the other is my bf's. Haha ._. My three houses dream villagers. I couldn't stand having to choose >.< The last one, I give villagers away to people. I got almost all my dream villagers on my own this way and didn't need to spend bells :) Just a lot of nights of resetting...(Once in awhile I get lucky; I got Tangy only after 4 resets while others took 100+)

I've a second copy of the game.

I bought it because (a) I find 10 villagers a little restrictive when I like so many and (b) because there are many flaws with my first town but I'm too attached to it to reset it. However, I got tired with my second town so until I find a layout/villagers I'm satisfied with I'm doing auctions and giveaways until I work out exactly what I want to do with it.

Only have one ds, but 2 copies of the game. It would be expensive to buy a whole other ds just to give away villagers to people lmao

I have a second 3DS, because I was using the 3DS when I first got ACNL but upgraded to an XL. I can't really see my mum buying me another copy but I would like one considering I have two 3DS'.

I borrow my Dad's 3DS when I want to trade between my two games. It turns out that being forced to move back in with my folks (financial reasons) has some positives. ;)

Hahah true. I was just thinking for people who are trying to get their dream villagers that way, you wouldnt be able to transfer them to your town without another DS

I only have one copy. O.o I would never buy two copies of a game like this. It's hard enough for me to manage the one town! I'd hate having to deal with two of them!

Plus I could never make an excuse as to why it'd be okay for me to spend that amount of money for two copies of the same game. xD

I don't know that I would, but I've thought about it. Right now, I couldn't really justify the money for another copy of the game and a second 3DS.

Yeah I can see why some people would think it's ridiculous hahah but I think it's really nice that some people buy another game just to help people get their dreamies. I personally would buy a second copy to sell popular villagers until I made enough to get Marshal and then I would just start cycling through and giving them away. I probably will do that actually :P

You wouldn't really have to get another DS though. Like I just thought, if you're trying to get dream villagers, you could just reset the second town and get popular villagers and then trade them for your dreamies that you could pick up in your main town if that makes sense
