I have a download code for Super Mario 3D Land. The thing is, I don't have Wifi at home...
I'm thinking about different places I could go to download it. (Like Mcdonald's, lol). Anyways... how long do you guys think it would take to download the game?

It depends on how fast the internet speed it. Honestly, you could be waiting a while. My internet is really crappy. Mostly because the internet provider lied about the speeds, so we get basically nothing.
I think I waited on a bad day about 5 hours. On a good day, I have downloaded games in around 2 hours.
When I had a Wii U, the updates took over night.

You might have trouble with some disconnections but it'll probably take 45 minutes if you're lucky. Internet varies in some of them, though.

Thanks!
Another question: what happens if you lose internet connection while it's downloading? Would it pause and continue downloading when you have Wifi again?

Yes. It would be smart to set it to download in sleep mode. That'll allow you to have it continue whenever you get to a good connection point again, since if you have it download from the eShop application, exiting the app will reset the download (if I remember correctly).

Public wi-fi is used a lot, so it's just the luck of the draw how long it'll take. Games download in about 30 minutes or less for me, but I have a wi-fi router all to myself, so that's very different from what you may be getting at some place like McD's.

The download takes up 4,096 blocks which = 512 MB, exactly half a GB. That isn't too much compared to most full games. New Leaf was 750 MB and that took about an hour and a half with SUPER SLOW internet speed, so I'd guess about an hour.

And set it to download later then just close it. You won't have to worry about it disconnecting as it will just pick up where it left off.

Thanks for the help everyone!! I tried to download it today at guitar lessons, and it surprisingly only took approximately 15 minutes to download. :)
