A question about weeds

I turned off the beautiful town ordinance on my second town to grow a bunch of weeds. If I TT a year or two into the future (assuming I don't care about losing villagers), will my town be full of weeds? Or do I need to cycle one day at a time?

Also, both times I've gone in my house since I turned off the ordinance there was a cockroach. Is there going to be a cockroach in my hosue every single time? Is there something I can do to prevent them? They creep me out...

if i remember right there should be a bunch of weeds, unfortunately i don't think there's a way to prevent the roaches unless you TT like a few weeks at a time
