How long does it take for villagers show up after picking them up from the void?

When someone visited my town and they didn't clear their void, I got someone from their void as my next move-in. Hope that helps!

In my experience, the next in-game day. But there's not always a 100% guarantee of actually picking up the villager. Maybe change your DS clock (like one or two weeks into the future) and check with a new character? If there's no plot, you can assume the villager won't show up in your town.

If you have only 9 villagers, usually the next day. If you have 10 villagers, by them visiting you they effectively clear their void and that villager will no longer exist.

I don't believe it always works... There's a chance of picking up someone from the void if you have 9 or less villagers, but obviously having a full town won't work; it just clears that visitor's void. You can try picking up someone though. c: (To answer your question, it's usually the next day, similar to asking someone to move in your town.)

Umm..2 days to a couple of months...my friend got Lopez from me and he has been gone for months but recently got him? Yeah...apparently they can stick in your data base for a while.

If you want more of a chance of getting them, visit them and them visit you.

It only happened to,e once, they outed so done to make space to pick up a villager and I was at less than ten and they didn't clear, next day Merry showed up..threw me off to get her out so I could move on..I think I was doing the 8 drop to type plot at the time and she messed it up, Merry I mean..oh well I got her out, but she showed plot next day.

I got a villager move-in from the void as soon as I left their town and came back to mine, their plot was already there.

Stitches moved from my town (the sneaky booger) and I was heartbroken! He turned up in my daughter's town the next day! We really got lucky. So a day or so, sweetie. But as others have stated, it doesn't always happen. Also, if you visited another player and picked up a voided villager, you can bypass a move-in by bringing someone in before the voided villager plots. Your move-in supersedes the void.
