So I have him in his little trailer or whatever but it only lets me order three items from it If I ask him to move in then that means I can't buy from him anymore right? So should I not ask him to move in today and wait again and make him go back there tomorrow and buy again? Am I allowed to do this? Will he still ask to move in?

You're limited to ordering 3 items a day I think. In theory your idea should work. You'll just have to scan him in every day.

Yes, I have done what you did! Don't invite him, or he won't offer to sell things anymore. Just keep inviting him and move him in when you're ready!
