A New Method? -Gets Villagers Out of Boxes!-

I was scrolling through Tumblr when I noticed this post. I thought it was interesting and I would share it. I looked through the comments and I didn't see any confirmation in it yet.

Method:

GUYS IF YOU DON?T PLAY NEW LEAF FOR A FEW DAYS

LIKE A WEEK

MAKE A NEW CHARACTER

IF ANYONE IS IN BOXES

QUIT. NO SAVE. NOTHING

GO TO YOUR DS SETTINGS AND GO A DAY BACKWARDS

GO BACK TO NEW LEAF

NEW VILLAGER

BYE BOXES

I JUST DID THIS BECAUSE DAISY WAS IN BOXES AND NOW SHE IS NOT

Some Comments I Found:

OR IF ANYONES HOUSE IS JUST TOTALLY GONE GO BACK MORE THAN ONE DAY BECAUSE IF U ONLY GO BACK ONE THEYLL EITHER STILL BE GONE OR BE IN BOXES

I feel it?s safer to go back more than one day juuuust to be safe. And ALWAYS make a new character and scout. Scout everything- the houses, as well. I didn?t check houses and Carmen was in boxes so please check your houses!!

Any thoughts on this? Does anyone want to test it out?

Does this make you take your villager back? Or is it about getting a new one instantly?

If you don't play for a few days, just use your AC clock to go back to the day after you last played and you won't have anyone in boxes

But this works too

Definitely works, as long as you remember that you can only log in with a new save file; if you've played at all that day with an existing character it's too late. I helped a friend save a villager this way last month!

I think this is essentially the same thing as when you just set the time to the last day you played, except without then having to TT forward as far to your current date. The villager will be out of boxes, but I'm pretty sure you'll want to find them because they'll still be moving.
