Bill is great. He is a classic and has the play personality. I also recommend Dom as well. He also loves to play and his face is very expressive.

Love your island theme idea! I think Rudy is cute, though Bill definitely seems stylistically to be a lot more natural (Rudy is a bit clowny or cartoonish in comparison imo).
I do really like Magus' suggestion of Billy though! His almost cranky like design paired with the Jock personality makes it easy for to imagine him as an almost Socratic figure, who has that erudite appearance and reputation but who really goes around annoying everyone haha!

Hmm, you're right regarding the cartoon thing!

And thinking of Billy as a Socratic figure is a great idea! I remember reading some dialogues by Plato a while ago, and oh my god, Socrates is annoying (totally understand why the Athenians fed him poison in the end :') just kidding, of course)! Now I'm really considering Billy!

Rudy Rudy Rudy! I love the cats.
Some other jocks I love are Snake and Genji! Theyre some of the funniest jock villagers. I absolutely love their design.

Also can’t forget the king of Japan rn, dom!

I love Pierce, as I've had him on several of the games. He's a more underrated eagle, but I love him!
Roald is also a popular choice! I like him a lot, and he doesn't look like a jock villager at all lol

Yeah, it is hard to find a good one! I have come to the conclusion I only like the "cute" ones.. it's the only way I can bear the constant talk about muscle.. with the cute or email ones that don't look at all like jocks I even find it endearing sometimes.

So yeah, I am going to think right now about Hamlet, Billy, Bill and still Rudy a bit as possibilities.. though I am leaving towards Bill or Billy now :')

EDIT: Dom might also be good indeed. The choice is getting harder and harder, not thank you everyone for your help!

I had such fun times with Rudy both in NL and in NH. I let him go to experience new jocks but I’ll get him back eventually. He just makes the cutest faces. May I also suggest Genji? He’s cool too, IMO. And his house is amazing. His design is also very interesting.

I love buck!! My sister has him and he is so cool! I would say keep him, I think it is cute/sentimental to keep starters on your island, even if they have the "ugly" starter home. Makes them more special

I think Billy would fit your theme really well. It's such a shame about his cardboard furniture! I had him as a starter, thankfully, so he had basic wooden furniture and whatever I gave him. It would be kind of fun to try to gradually replace all his boxes by giving him stuff!

i have billy in my town. hes cool and i like him BUT be warned that if you choose him he has basically a shack that he lives in that doesnt fit in with the rest of the villagers houses. his house really is an all wooden shack lol

I don't get all this hate on the jocks. they're my 2nd favorite personality type, and I like them BECAUSE of the personality, not the villagers that have it. I think most people don't give them a chance. their Dialogue is actually quite charming
