Hey yall!

I don't really cycle villagers, and when I get a villager I don't want I usually just wait until they ping me.

But omg. Lily just moved into my town, I wanted her soo badly, but she put her house RIGHT NEXT to my mayor's house. T_T
It wouldn't be a problem, but the only way to get to my mayor's house is from the side!! Bleh.

Anyways, I just had Filbert ping me. I told him I did not want him to move.
Is there any TTing method I can attempt to get Lily out? Will it jeopardize my other villagers leaving?

Thanks for the help!

Try the two days forward, two days back method.

First time travel two days back, save and quit, then tt two days forward and find the one who wants to move. If it doesnt work keep trying.

Thanks! I'll start trying that right now~

Here's a method I always use to get a villager out.
Start it on the day someone pings you to move. If it's someone you dont wanna lose, tell them to stay.

1. After you denied your villager s moving request, save and quit. (you can play through the say but don't go to next day).
2. Start up your game and TT 6 days forward. Load up, save and quit immediately.
3. Load the game again and TT 6 days backwards this time. (back to the same date)
4. Someone else will ping you about moving! If it's not the villager you wanted out, start again from step 1.

If you don't get a ping on step 4, talk to every villager to see who's thinking about moving. This works almost 100% of the time so there will be a villager planning to move. Dont TT until you get the ping or absolutely sure that no one's moving. If no one's moving, you may TT 1 day forward and check for pings.

I also wanted to note that last villager that moved in would have the least chance of moving away. It is possible but super rare. So try it after another villager or two had moved in your town?

Wish you luck c:

Actually the two days forward and two days back method is really risky.

I don't play Animal Crossing year round since I don't have the time, but I was working to get the GracieGrace shop and ended up time traveling through a lot of days. I have Tangy who's my absolute Dreamie and didn't want her to go. Here's what I noticed about villagers moving out:

1. Be nice to the villager you want to get rid of. All too often if you're mean to them, if you say you want them to leave, they'll say that they won't go and that the friendship needs to be worked on. I've had some villagers move out fairly quickly, or at least offer to leave quickly more often if I'd been nice to them.

2. When there are nine villagers, you need to check and ask around every single day to make sure that any of your favourites aren't leaving. Once someone is leaving, you can skip forward to that day, and then wait until someone comes new arrives.

3. Villagers will usually ping you if they're going to leave. Carry no objects with you (aside from tools, fossils) and no more than 100 bells. That way when they ping you, it increases the chance of them talking about how someone or they themselves are moving.

Some preventative measures:

1. If you don't want a villager in a certain spot, say, right next to your mayor house, build a public works project there, even if it's just something like a bench or clock.

2. Start a new character on days where you're expecting someone to move in. Do not play with any of your already created characters because data will be saved from that day. Get to the village and wander around, check to see where a new plot might be. If it's in a bad spot, don't save. Just close the game and restart. It's tedious, but worth it sometimes. If you find someone you like in a good spot, then save the game and continue playing as normal.
