So, I went island hopping a few days ago and got Fauna. I made a post detailing my soul-crushing experience island hopping but that got moved to that megathread I didn't know existed whoops It was basically love at first sight and she's quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites. Well, every so often, I hop back onto my New Leaf game to make sure my boy Beau hasn't left town, and today when I was playing I noticed there was someone at my campsite. I was thinking, "Ah, well, it's probably just some dumb sisterly villager." I went into the campsite and guess who was chilling inside? Fauna. My jaw dropped to the floor and immediately went out of my way to take her. Basically, I just witnessed destiny and I'm so, so glad I took her when I first saw her when I was island hopping and turned down Coco and Julian twice OH GOD MY HEART because she's adorable and I love her with every fiber of my being.
Considering Fauna is still competing in that top 6 villager poll, I thought I'd mention this fun little story I had today to generate some hype for her. Post pictures, stories, whatever. I just want to see some love for this amazing girl!
awe that’s so cute! fauna was one of my absolute favourite villagers alongside zell and beau and i love her a lot. if i ever decide to invest in a new switch + game, she’ll definitely be my normal villager on that island aha
fauna deserves more love - i know she’s pretty popular but i don’t see nearly enough people talk about her which is unfortunate as she’s so, so good and she deserves the hype ;w;
Fauna was one of my first campers in NL. I wanted her in my town immediately. I didn't know at the time that they would eventually agree to move in if you had a space, so after she keep saying no for an hour, I gave up. I finally got her in another town. I found her on a mystery tour and she's on my island, albeit in a starter house. I don't really care that much, because the starter normal house is pretty close to her NL house anyway.
For me, it's all about those little dots on the back of her head.
My island hopping experience with Fauna is quite different from yours. I have left her TWO times! How can I call myself a Fauna fan when I’ve left her two times? I actually did find Fauna in my NL campsite recently, which is part of the reason why I left her the first time (resulting in a failed hunt imo). The second time, I found her on my SECOND ticket, but didn’t take her because I found her too early on and I have two Normal villagers (that need to go). I’d love to have Fauna or Caroline as my Normal villager, but it might take a lot of rejection...
I felt really bad for leaving Fauna behind on a mystery island once... but then she suddenly appeared in my campsite a few days later, and I was like "okay this is FATE" and let her move to my island despite me REALLY not needing any more normal villagers. I haven't regretted it even once. I love her house btw, and I love the KK song she's playing in there.
i finally managed to get friga to move out, went island hopping, saw her on a nook miles island island and decided that she was to cute to leave behind
Anyone who got Fauna with the default normal house should definitely gift her a record player (I gave her red and she displays it properly most of the time, I think unless she’s crafting). Agreed the song fits her well.
Oh, I love Fauna! She’s the absolute cutest. Lately she’s been sending me letters in New Horizons talking about how lonely she is and it breaks my heart. I’ve been trying to talk to her and give her gifts daily because I don’t want that sweetheart to be sad.
