So I'm thining about buying a new game.

The problem is though.. I can't decide beetwen Mario Kart 8 and Kid Icarus Uprising.
I seek help from the people of tbt to decide which one to choose

mariokart 8 is easy winner- unless of course you don't like racing games, but because you even considered it I assume you do

I played MK8 at a friends house and I really enjoyed it. Though, I own the Wii version and after a while it got a little repetetive. is MK8 the same?

the gameplay is nearly the same- you race around and get items etc... There's new course elements, new items, customizable vehicles, same amount of tracks but soon to be a total of 4 dlc tracks (with characters + new vehicles too)

but by the same, yes it's still a racing game which is best enjoyed with friends

Ok thanks one last question though... me and my friend played online and it was a lot of fun, do people still play online? Or is it as dead as an old CoD game?

well there is dlc coming out in 3 weeks which will create a huge spike in players but I can't really speak for right now

Mario Kart 8 is really fun. Get it if you love racing games, and have someone to play it with. Me and my friends played many hours on hat game.

I just got Kid Icarus Uprising and the graphics are great, and it's really fun. It's a little hard to control without the circle pad pro, which I will hopefully be getting soon to have a better experiance with the game.

Mario Kart 8 is really good. The only things I don't like about it are the blue shell and that the balloon battle stages have been changed to tracks.

Oh yes, the battle mode is terrible. If you enjoyed the battle mode in Mario Kart wii, don't expect ANYTHING from this ones battle mode.

Mario Kart 8, easy. :') I don't really rate Kid Icarus Uprising, to be honest... :\

I would personally recommend Kid Icarus Uprising. It is a fun game by Sakurai that both takes itself seriously and doesn't at the same time, and it is a good challenge (especially if you're going for all the intensity gates)

If you own the Wii version of mk8 then I reccomend Kid Icarus. It's a lot of fun I really enjoyed it, voice acting is enjoyable while you make your way through each chapter. It'll keep you on your toes most of the time too.

Thanks for the responses

I'll prolly go with MK8 since I asume it'll last longer. Anyone care to prove me wrong?

Mario Kart by far! animal_crossing_dlc_mario_kart_8.jpg JUST LOOK AT WHAT'S COMING

Go for Mario Kart 8, I think you will have more fun with it, because of the multiplayer wi-fi with plenty of active players c:

*16 dlc tracks

As of now Mario Kart 8 is an entire game and a half with a current number of 12 Cups, and since they'll likely add more DLC, it;s bound to last for awhile, especially considering 200CCS!!!!!!!!BLARGH Oh, and if you haven't played past Wii, then the water/air and anti-gravity might be a nice touch, even though it doesn't really change the game.
