Wait... so... They exist, but cannot be obtained? Why not?
As I said above, you can't talk about it on this site. They're obtained through hacks. It's a set from one of the Nook stores.

Okay but they are made by Nintendo, not the people who made the "hack", it is obtainable (legally) somehow, right? Or was it DLC? What.
It's coded as an actual wall/floor, but you need to use a special device to extract that coding into an actual wall/floor item.
Also, for reference, there's 11 items like this total known last I checked. 5 wallpapers, 5 floorings, and the rental wetsuit. (though the wetsuit I've heard mentions of people getting it off the island through unknown glitching)
Its 100% unavailable in-game as an in-game item or dlc otherwise.

I read from a mod that posted somewhere that you can use the "device" on yourself but not for transactions on TBT.

its made by Nintendo
the item is coded in all the games
therefore it "functions" like a normal item thats in all copies of the game
however the item is unobtainable unless you extract that coding into a normal item
there is no "adding anything new" into the game, its just "taking whats in the game and pulling it out into something you can obtain"
also, there's no point in discussion if its for personal use. there's plenty of info on the internet even without tbt

The reason I want to discuss it, is because I do not understand how it can't be obtained without "hacks".
it cannot be obtained otherwise as the item is never given to you through normal play and has never been released as dlc
I am going to just accept that I am a dummy and will never understand

Let me make this as simple as I can put it.
It is impossible to get this item in the game. It is not sold in the Nook Stores, not at the island, or from Saharah. Therefore, it is impossible to obtain in game without what is about to be covered. Now, with hacks, you can magially create unobtainable items, the so-called "market w/f" being the topic of discussion here. How people have done this? I don't use Homebrew. I don't make hacks. I don't know. Since the only way to get the item is by hacks, we aren't allowed to discuss it. You just can't get it, because there's no legal way to get it, be it from an NPC that's already programmed or DLC backed by Nintendo. Why? Because the programmers wanted it that way.

That wasn't my message and I didn't mean to make it sound that way. At all.
Easy answer is that you can only get them through hacking. No one playing the game in any country at any time would see them otherwise
Therefore, they are not available to buy sell or discuss at the Bell Tree.
