6 Days with No Ping?

Heyy so my paranoia is flaring up something awful so I just wanted to ask what the heckie is going on haha//

On 4/2, Phoebe asked to move and I told her no (which was oddly only two days after Marina asked to move..?). Every day since then, I've been looking for who's going to move next, but there's no gossip -- it's all the gossip you hear when nobody's moving -- and nobody has pinged me for it.

I am severely paranoid. I don't want to log in tomorrow to see someone in boxes. Is this normal? There are no signs anyone is moving, as the dialogue clearly states that they're not, but it's been SIX DAYS since I got a ping. Nobody has moved in or out, either. Can anyone placate my mind and reassure me that I won't wake up to Beau magically in boxes tomorrow like that stupid nightmare I had rofl?

haha i believe it's normal but i get paranoid as well ;; it happened when i was cycling lily out my friends town... i was extremely scared i messed up and would lose her dreamies but i kept tting forward a few hours to check for pings but still nothing. then i tt'd a day forward and someone pinged. i suggest you tt a few hours forward or try the diving trick to be safe first~

I rarely get moving gossip. Queenie pinged to move out today, and none of my villagers mentioned it to me beforehand.

Well, from what I understand, someone is supposed to try to move every 3 days, which is why this doesn't make sense to me. I know nobody's moving because my villagers say the generic rumors instead of the rumor that someone is thinking about leaving. It was 5 days in my 4th copy, but Colton finally pinged yesterday. So the diving trick would only net me catchphrases since I finally got the PWP I've been waiting for forEVER today (hot spring god bless america). I'm just concerned because 6 days is kind of a lot and there weren't any holidays or moveouts or anything.

It saves a lot of time ^^ So I go to Felicity every day and extract her generic rumor that tells me nobody is moving.

It's normal. In my town it, it takes 5-7 days now for someone to move out. It used to be 2-3 but now it changed. Idk why

Okay whew. Thank you. u_u I've been noticing it's taking longer now and it's made me worry my goddamn hair grey. And you're right, it used to be 3-5 days all the time in all copies, and now I've been noticing it's increasing more and more... What the hell hidden mechanic do they have in there seriously it doesn't bode well for my freakin' anxiety lmao

Actually the system runs on periods of 5, not 3 days. After someone asks you to move the next day no one does, then 5 days after nobody does and on the 5/6th day somebody should ask.

You can always TT ahead a month and do the new character file just in case!

Hm, does that affect it? o.o I don't think I do anymore actually since I have at least like 500 items laying around the ground lol, and I got my watering can ages ago so I stopped caring XD; But people were asking to move regularly back then... So I dunno. ): Must be some sort of hidden mechanic they added to **** with my mind because Nintendo haaates meeee

Really? For the longest time it's always been 3 days and all guides say 3 days... But I'm starting to think you're right and that those 3 days are the danger zones when someone's real close to leaving maybe. Hrm. Well thank you ;v; And yeah I thought about doing that but since I've been getting the generic gossip to make sure no one was moving, I just sort of let it go. Hopefully tomorrow.

hey, if you have less than 4 characters, try the 3ds clock trick! Set the 3DS clock time forward about 1 week, then start a new character. Look to see if someone's missing from the list. If there is someone missing, that means they wanted to move before you set the 3ds clock forward. Save without quitting and reset the clock and just keep trying to get them to ping. o:

edit: lol oops, looks like someone already suggested it x) but I'd do it anyway to be safe~ I wouldn't want to wait until tomorrow in case I find someone in boxes Dx

But if that were the case, that would totally debunk Aetherene's theory which has proved to be true for like a month now. s: I do not want to debunk the theory that has been keeping me sane pls

No need to be 6am, as long as its the next day, just create a New File to check.

Sometimes is 3 days, sometimes the next day after one,sometimes a week! It could be fishing tourney coming so nobody pings xD this happen to me sometimes~

They won't ping if there is an event coming up or if you have 8 villagers (but then on the next day the game will give you a villager), or it is just random.

To be safe, create a new save file tomorrow and check if anyone was in boxes. I was kind of suspicious as well three days ago so I made a new character and checked if anyone was going to be in boxes ;-;
