Hey, I’m glad you’re getting New Leaf! What I did is find a common word I liked. In my case, it was happy. Then, I looked up synonyms for that word, and some of the “fancier” words that I thought fit well became candidates for my town name. I eventually settled on Euphoria, even if it has a bit of a dark meaning behind it. I hope this helps!

The amazon lily (Eucharis), Bell flower (Campanula), Cornflower (Centaurea), Lavender (Lavandula), Michaelmas Daisy (Aster), Flamingo flower (Anthurium), Sunflower (Helianthus).
Those are examples =))

I really like their idea of Helianthus. I am a sucker for sunflowers though 💜
I am not sure how many characters you are allowed. I was under the impression that New Horizons limit of 10 was new.

I don't know what you named your New Horizon's island but my ideas with 8 character limit in mind would be to write a list of words you like then Mix and match these words to come up with something. Or you can just pick a nature-y word you like and add ville/ton/polis at the end.

Sometimes I put way too much thought into these things. Others, I just go with my heart.
My new leaf town is called Trinket, because I named myself Aster (greek for star i believe) and I just thought it sounded pretty together. Aster from Trinket. And then I made the town flag a bell, not the currency but a literal bell. I like it a lot!
