You could plant flowers in a pattern lining both sides of your walkway! That'd be pretty..maybe put paper lanterns or something at the end to cap it off.

honestly, my best advice is just to experiment around and find what you like, while also being willing to adjust as you feel necessary

it's a bit of a cop-out answer, but you've got a pretty blank slate to work with here and chances of your first idea being the one you like best are admittedly pretty slim

I completely agree.
I designed my areas over and over again until I was happy with them.
Every time I learnt something about what worked there and what didn't.
