5000 bugs/fish badge question!!!

Do the bugs and fish you catch on island tours count towards the badge?

Yes it does.

Most of the times I did bug hunting at the island and I got my silver badge now~

I've heard that the best time to get the badges for bugs is August, I believe. In your town. Cause that's when all the cicadas come out and they appear frequently.

I understand how easy it is that way.

I've read they don't count if you do a fishing or bug tour. If so, it seems really unfair. I would assume it does count if you catch fish on a non-fishing tour, because you get the messages about being new to your encyclopedia, and you get the little fish joke phrases ("I caught a bluegill! There's a lot in this ville!").

My thoughts exactly.
Since when you catch new things on the tours, it doesn't count towards your stuff.
