So I've been using the Starry Wall that you get from Celeste... I thought it was a nice understated wall, but nothing too fancy. I've been using this wall for a least a month now, thinking it just looked like this with the lights off:

I had the lights turned off, and I wandered into another room. When I came back, the room looked like this:

I'd never seen them lit up like that before! They work like real glow in the dark objects... You need to give them some time in the dark to light up, and they gradually get brighter and brighter if you leave the lights off... Or, as I discovered, you can just leave the room and come back!

I just absolutely love that something completely caught me off guard 500 hours in. I literally said "no way!!" out loud when I saw it. I love this game

I've been using it because I don't have the mermaid wall diy yet, but with this discovery, I'm not sure I'll switch when I do get it!

I thought it was odd when I first got the wall, because I assumed it would glow, and it didn't... but I just moved on. I didn't think to sit in the dark for 15 seconds to see it start to change!

The Starry Wall is one of my favorite wallpapers in the game. New Horizons has in general such beautiful looking wallpapers and floors, especially the animated ones are gorgeous.

The special walls in this game are fantastic. The first time I saw that raining on hydrangeas wall (I forget what it's actually called) I was completely blown away.

I had no idea about this starry wall. I always just assumed that it was cute and subdued wallpaper without anything extra, but what a cool effect

My favorite animated wallpapers include the cherry blossom trees wall, autumn wall, underwater wall, galaxy wallpaper and the misty garden wall. It's really one of the best ideas Nintendo came up with for this game. I like the little details like that.

I used to have them on my ceiling as a kid! It's exactly like that!
