So today I got another 3 star rating from Isabelle even after I picked up over a 100 material and random items off the ground and placed like 20 new pieces of furniture on the island and 20 new feneces. She then told me to improve the scenery and natural landscape. After that she told me some people are complain about random items cluttering up the island, when there is nothing on the ground. The only thing on the ground are the seashells on the beach. I was wondering why she said this and if clutter items include random furniture placed in random places on the island, such as a book on the ground, or a stereo in a random spot. What should I do to improve my rating and how much more furniture and stuff should I do? I do have a few fences making a closed area with an opening for turnips and materials so could that be brining my score down? Thanks

I think Isabelle cycles through different advice regardless of your island's issue. It sounds like you need more trees and flowers right now.

hmm thats weird. I have a ton of trees and over a hundred to two hundred flowers.

Weird. I think she would say if you have too many trees. Then it sounds like maybe you need to put down more fences? That seems to be another issue with the rating.

This made me very worried too. I *think* it's because when you leave a lot of stuff on the ground, it kind of stores this information for the next day evaluation, even if you picked that in the same day? That's what I got from it.

For example, once I was without storage at my house so I was leaving stuff outside (placed, not just the leaf) and she never said that and I garantee it was a lot of stuff everywhere cluttering and making a mess.
Then, when I picked stuff up and left the leaf, she starting saying that. I picked all up, still got the notice. But without any changes, she stopped in the next day.

I had to place at least 60 items to get to there most of which were leaf piles plus I had 100s of flowers my one piece of advice would be to avoid planting trees I went without a money tree spawn about four times because I had too many trees and kept going over the threshold
