5 star islands?

In some of these cases, I think the people no longer have a 5-star rating in-game (such as in urban Islands with very few trees).
I never thought about this but ur right! Theres no way a more urban themed island could maintain 5 stars and of course theres nothing wrong w that but it is weird to keep advertising as 5 stars

I got 5 stars from placing mannequins everywhere to force my rock spawns, and definitely not finished island or much terraforming done at all

Went back down to 4 once i removed them all. Was nice for 1 lily of the valley to spawn as a memory :D

No, I do not believe a 5 star rating is a fully terraformed and decorated island. Not to the extend you see on youtube, at least. But that is what you will see when people mention 5 star ratings. I saw a video of someone having a tour of their natural themed island. I really loved how it looked, despite it being 4 stars. The star rating is just an arbitrary number, which makes no sense. (What does Isabelle have against trees?)

I wanted to get some lily-of-the-valley, so I have been putting random furniture around the island. I also put fences behind the cliffs, which really helps. I really recommend doing this if you want to keep a 5 star rating for a longer time. They are out the way and you can't see them.

I have been working a bit on a shopping/museum area, so I was able to remove some of that furniture. Mostly the ones that were a real eyesore. I will try to keep my island rating until I have enough lily-of-the-valley

Because Youtubers and social media made it out to be a big deal with their "5 Star Island Tours!"
My partner recently hit 5 stars without having to sacrifice the more natural and woodsy island vibe feel that we started out with.

It made me really happy to see this because I was personally dreading the idea of having to emulate what social media promotes as 5 stars.

I'm on an island and I wanted / want to keep sone of the "deserted" island feel that I loved from the beginning.

No amount of terraforming can affect the town rating, just so you know. (Provided you don't turn the entire island to 1 big river)
