So after about a year of playing (on and off) I finally got a five star rated island. Very happy indeed, and I have one Lilly of the valley flower . I also now have a golden watering can but does anyone know how I get the recipe for a golden spade and axe?

I don't know what you're referring to about Spade you must've have it confused with something else. Also the way you got the Golden Axe was if you let your axe break about 100 times then your character will learn the Golden Axe recipe.

For the shovel, you have to help Gulliver 30 times.
