Nah, I usually watch a show while gaming so it would be useless. But even if I need the immersion, I only plug in headphones if I don't want to wake someone up.
Usually I just play with the volume off. But if there are people around and I really want to hear the music I will use headphones (if nobody is around and I want to hear the music, I will just blast it in the open, lol)
All the time. If I'm playing video games, I want to be completely immersed in that world. I don't want to worry about my surroundings and I hate to disturb other people.
Only for listening to music or if I have to use Mic like on Xbox
But I don't often play multiplayers.
I don't often have my volume up on my 3ds either since I'm used to playing at night. I don't like disturbing people when they're sleeping.
Only if I'm in public or if someone in the house has a headache. I hate silence, but I also don't like it when I can't hear people over the game audio if they're trying to tell me something. And for some reason, I kind of like hearing background chatter in the house--it doesn't feel so lonely, that way.
I always use headphones when gaming. I love to be fully immersed in the game. I'm not all that good of hearing and I love to be able to hear the small, quieter parts of the hourly music in ACNL or music and voices in other games. I especially use headphones when I am out in public as I do not want to disturb anyone, because I hate it when people disturb me when I'm trying to have a quiet moment alone.
Always have my headphones on when I'm on my computer so yeah! I play a lot of Overwatch so sound, and knowing where the sound comes from is very important. My headphones cost me so much money that I try to use them everytime heh.
However when I play on my 3DS or Switch I don't use them. Mainly because I'm too lazy to take them to my bed, but also because I prefer playing.. well, without them on. I guess I'm missing a lot of sound design things because I play without headphones on, I should try one day.
very rarely. When I play games I'm at home so I don't have to worry about bothering the public. I have the volume pretty low on the 3DS when I play and when I play a console, it's 9 times out of 10 that it's with one of my family members so we have the music out loud to have a great family game night.
I always use headphones when I play videogames. Using headphones gives you an advantage in-game comparing with speaker-users, a better headset gives you the advantage of a low-quality headset. I'm using SteelSeries Siberia 800 Wireless Headset witch is awesome, comparing with my old one. Their sound quality is perfect for me, especially when I playing shooters, I had bad sound with my old speakers, so I bought this SteelSeries model using advice from review at the audio direct website that I used when bought my 6x9 in-car speakers and microphone. I hope, my source will help you as well.
