I don't really use headphones often, but sometimes I will mute the game and put on my own music.
The only other case where I'll use headphones is if I'm playing a rhythm game (most often with Rhythm Heaven) and I need to hear the beat of the song well.

it depends if i'm in a public setting or on a plane or something then absolutely because I don't want to be rude

on some pc games it's almost a necessity to have them so you can hear foot steps and other things

on consoles in the comfort of my home i rarely use headphones

I hate to play shooter games without headphones. It makes playing hell, not being able to accurately hear stuff. For more casual games, though, I prefer to listen through the speakers. I don't like wearing headphones, usually. I like to wear my headphones if I really want to get involved in the atmosphere of some games, like danganronpa, don't starve, and skyrim.

GLASSES. try wearing headphones for hours with glasses. then you’ll know true pain. i’ve had so many different headphones to see if any aren’t painful.. they all push in my glasses and cause so much uncomfort! i only wear them if in a party with my friends :lemon:

Maybe try to get a slimmer frame, or invest in higher quality headphones. I've never personally had any trouble while wearing glasses with them, and I often wear them for 8 hours+. Are you sure that the head band is adjusted enough so that the headphones aren't sitting too tight against your head?

Not anymore, but I used to use headphones/mic when I played mmorpgs for raids and things like that. I actually never even thought to use headphones while playing my 3ds.

Sometimes. It depends on the game, and if I need to not disturb other people.

So many earbuds are literally too big for my ears and I don't use them. Regular headphones tend to make my ears sore after an hour or so of using them, even the nice ones.

Only during the night when I'm not supposed to be gaming anymore, but only one bud works so it's not worth it either.

I don't play that many modern games these days but I have been tending to use headphones more often in the past few years for anything on the computer or hooked up to the television.

I don't generally use them for handhelds like the DS or 3DS though. I've tried it a few times on them just to hear the difference in sound quality and to see how it compares, but I generally prefer to just listen to those the regular way.

Not really. Maybe if it's a survival horror or something.

I think the last time I gamed with headphones was when I was like... 10 or 11 years old, lol. I would only really use headphones these days if I could potentially disturb anybody, but I live with my partner and she loves video games as much as I do, so she never really minds at all :)

Yep i use it for my 3ds alot great for games like Animal crossing and minecraft...using headphones makes those games more atmospheric.

I never use headphones when gaming, in fact I usually mute whatever game I'm playing so I can listen to youtube videos

I always have the headphones on. I want to listen and others don't want to.

Only when I game on my computer.

As for the 3DS, only if I happen to be up late at night, since I don't want to wake up people with the game sound effects and music.

I only use headphones while gaming if I'm using a portable console. I'll use them when I'm using my Switch in tabletop or handheld mode, and I'll occasionally use them on my 3DS. Particularly if I'm in public on the bus or at university.

I use some Earphones when playing my 3DS but I wouldn't use them for any other system.
