Hi there, sadly you can't buy mannequins from people because you can't drop them on the floor The only way to get them is to earn them through the Able Sisters and Gracie. Sorry!

Yeah, like onionpudding said, you can't buy them from anyone because the game itself won't let you drop the items on the ground, or even let you attach the mannequin to a letter.

You can look up the details to get the mannequins. Gracie's the easiest as you can get a mannequin from her if you purchase an item from the upgraded Emporium store in your town (it won't work if you buy Gracie's items from someone else's town)
