Here it is! The home stretch! We are now deciding on a town map. Pick whichever one you think will be the best for villager plot resetting and pwp's! Then, state below why you chose the map you chose!
Have fun~
I like the 3rd map as the others have that long skinny part, which I have used as a place for my perfect fruit orchards in the past but I dont care for that much. however I like the 4th as well for it's down facing waterfall and you could plot reset for all the villagers in that southwest corner leaving you tons of room on the other side of town for town design and decoration and such
♥ I chose the first one.
I think it is really neat that all of the "important" building are grouped in a specific area,
so you have more space to do your own landscaping and PWP placements without having to worry about what other building are around.
I would make the bottom part as a residential area for the animals.
There is only one pond and the location of it perfectly separates town hall and retail.
I like that river shape too! c: ♥ ~♚Vickie
Everyone likes different things, just as well really.
For me I would pick map no 2 - a grouped TH/plaza/R-Tail; an easy route from dock to R-Tail with a vertical ramp.
I do have a town with a down looped river like this one - works very well for me, and things you can do with the peninsula bit of land.
I like the strips of land by the railway line - its big enough for an alt house (or Mayor) & PWP.
Only one pond and a small private beach.
So on the face of it I would pick and be pleased with this town - but native fruit, villagers, rock placement would play a part in the final decision.
4 is really nice because the villagers are already grouped together which makes for more space for you to put up pwps. I see that 2 is unpopular but I love that all the important buildings are grouped together (less walking around) and there's only 1 lake so you have more room for paths and pwps.
Defo the first one.
The Retail is in a good spot, so is your Town Halls.
Its large and spacious.
I wish I had chosen my map much better when I started my game Dx
I personally prefer to have retail right beside the train station because it would make it super convenient for visitors to make purchases and what not. I think at the end of the day, it all depends on what vision you have for your town. The hard part is that you can't change your mind after which makes deciding super stressful at the beginning.
3, it seems the most well-rounded. 1 looks a lot like my map and I like it a lot too. I don't like the huge amount of skinny land on 2 since planning the town seems like it would be cumbersome. 4 is nice but the fact that there's not a long stretch of beach (it's basically split in half) seems annoying to me.
...after looking at it more though, I would have rather picked 1 in the poll, I didn't realize all the little ponds on the third map, haha. #1 for sure
