3DS Protection Advice?

Hey guys what's up?

I have my pink 3DS and I do like to take it around with me a lot, usually loose in my purse. What worries me though is scratches. So I am considering different types of protection for it.

What do you guys use?
What have you used in the past?
Why do you like it?
Or why not?

I'd love to find something cute for it. But I'm not sure what kind of protection I'd like. A case? A wallet? A clip on shell? Or just a vinyl? I can't decide.

By wallet I meant a sort of case with a closure mechinism like a zipper or velcrow.

I've been looking at some clear, hard plastic cases for it. (Maybe with a decal inside, for some extra fun.) I don't know if that'd add a lot of weight and girth to the 3DS. Mine is also the XL.

I don't think it needs a ton of protection in my purse, just from scratches and stuff.

What about a silicone case? I have always used these and they've kept my console in tip-top condition.

I just use the Club Nintendo sleeve to "protect" my XL. While it won't do any good against fall damage, it does well to protect it from the dangerous pocket lint and scratches.

I have this green Yoshi case. It basically has a spot to hold my system surrounded with this foam rectangle. It comes with a stylus, like the one in a DSiXL. The upper part has slots for games and your 3DS stylus.

I never dropped it though DX

I have my 3DS XL is a case that holds it down with two straps and holds the game cartridges. I originally went for screen protectors, but they didn't go on correctly, so I took them off and returned them.

I take mine with me everywhere and I normally put it in my pink case I also have screen protector on it as well, you can buy them from eBay.

I use a plastic case. It has a Mario Kart 7 decal on it, and it totally protects it from fall damage and scratches (on the outside). It cost me 12 dollars at Gamestop, and it's been very well worth the investment.

I'd go for a waterproof case/wallet with a zip.

I don't have a case for my 3DS, but I kept my GB/GBC/GBA/GBA SP/DS/DS Lite (damn, Nintendo, you've gotten a lot of money out of me over the years...) in either (velcro) pouches or zip-up wallets.

You could take the cheap way out and slip it inside a sock before you put it in your bag. That is usually what I do when I get a new device and don't have a case to put it in yet.

I have a big plush Hello Kitty shaped case for mine. I'm very protective of my tech so everything has to have a case.

I use a clear plastic case with a pink tint. It's kind of a gel-type material. It's soft and flexible. It protects the outside really nice and fits snug on my 3DS. I also use screen protectors as well I also have a cloth case I keep both my 3DS and my phone in while inside my purse. It's a makeup bag that came with an old purse and I'm lucky that it's the perfect size for my 3DS!

Also, just head over to eBay. Cheap cases on there. Plain ones or character ones and such.

I don't think it really changes the feel. I ordered the case soon after getting my 3DS though so I've used it with the case longer than without. I really like the feel of it though, it's smooth but not slippery.

The price is decent but it took 2 weeks to arrive being shipped from China. So if you need it right away maybe try to find a similar one in a local shop!

the nerf case saved mine
