3DS = Officially Broken

Uh, a few months ago I posted a few threads discussing my 3DS, which its top screen has basically, uh.. detached. Not completely. More like, the left side of it. So, I sealed it with some cement glue, which held it perfectly in place for a few weeks. Then it started wiggling again. I stopped playing with it after that since it was annoying to keep it in a certain position, and plus it would just turn off, anyways.

Months later, today, I picked it up to start it up, and all it does is turn on for a split second then turn off.

Oh man, I feel sorry about your 3DS.

Hopefully if you still have the warranty, you can ship it in for repairs.

Or if you don't, add a 3DSXL to your Xmas list.
They are really easy to get nowadays.

Ha, yeah. I was thinking of just buying a new one with some spare change. Might as well, I wouldn't want my games to go to waste.

But it doesn't even have a release date yet, just an estimate.


I dunno, if my 3DS just broke right now for some reason, I would still feel the need to at least buy a 2DS for the time being since they're relatively dirt cheap, especially preowned. I don't think I would want to go for 'x' amount of months without my DS.

Oh yeah, forgot about the 2DS! Definitely getting that instead. They look like something that's top wouldn't.. detach. lol.

Sort of. I remember I would always close it really quickly with a lot of force. It might've just detached that way.

The new 3DS XL is coming soon. I also know that there is a 3DS XL on sale at Target. Umm, you might be able to transfer all the downloadable games over to your new system but unfortunately that the save files are gone. Sorry about your loss.

My aunt got the blue 3ds XL and it came with the new Mario party island or whatever.

It's really pretty!

No worries! I didn't have any downloaded games, or content in that matter. No biggie!

Yeah, the blue one looks awesome! I had the same blue, except it came with Nintendogs + a submarine game, which was pretty cool! Congrats!

If you take your DS with you everywhere though, I can't imagine them being very portable though, plus the screens don't 'close' to protect them. It's pretty good for a quick, cheap replacement though, especially if you're also planning to get a 'new' 3DS when they're released
