3DS Notification Light Red?

My DS has had the problem of randomly going on standby mode (like the screen would turn off, but come back on again a few moments/minutes later), so I took the battery out and in again a couple of weeks ago, and it has been fine since. However, this morning it did the standby mode thing, but a few moments after the notification light turned red. Not because of the battery power, because my battery light was blue, and my battery is full. I can't seem to find a straight answer online, so I was wondering if anyone had any idea on here?

Perhaps it's happening because the battery isn't properly inserted/connected to the hardware, or that the latter is defective.

I suggest trying inserting a new battery and see if the problem is resolved. If you're using a 2DS or the original 3DS, the battery can be also from a standard New 3DS model or even the Wii U Pro Controller. If that doesn't work, then your hardware needs to be replaced.

I have the same problem but my 3ds is working fine.
